Marelise brings extensive experience in legal practice and leadership, having broken “age-old barriers” by heading the South African office of one of the world’s top international law firms. Zodwa practices in a niche and largely male-dominated area of law, Construction & Engineering—also breaking traditional barriers. Junior attorneys play a role in legal developments daily, guided by senior colleagues. “That guidance must be intentional. Junior women attorneys should give themselves the time to learn. Niche areas of law demand patience to develop expertise.”
