CDH's Corporate & Commercial and Tax & Exchange Control practices advised Coronation Fund Managers Limited in respect of a series of transactions whereby Coronation shares will be issued to two trusts, one being a vehicle for an employee share ownership plan set up for the benefit of employees who are black people, and the other being a broad-based ownership scheme which conducts public benefit activities for the benefit of black people. These transactions represent a strong commitment on the part of Coronation to promote the objectives of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment.
