Since 2011, CDH's Pro Bono & Human Rights practice (Pro Bono practice) has been at the heart of our firm's commitment to making a real difference. Over the past decade, our Pro Bono practice has passionately championed the cause of public interest, providing pro bono legal support to clients in need.
Standing in solidarity against gender-based violence and femicide
As we continue to stand in solidarity with the activists who began the Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991, we take a moment to reflect on what can be achieved through collective commitment and resilience in building a safer South Africa for all. The annual 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign aims to raise awareness of the enduring and devastating impact that gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) have on women and children, and on our society more broadly.
Realising Women's Rights for an Equal Future
Brigitta Mangale, Director in the Pro Bono & Human Rights practice, and Claudia Grobler, Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice, were recently featured in the Sunday Times Celebrating Women issue, where they discussed 'Realising Women's Rights for an Equal Future.'
