The Parliament has proposed amendments to the Employment Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act which aim to revolutionize the BPO sector. Specifically, the amendments redefine what it means to be an employer, an employee, the responsibilities of a BPO under the labour laws and the definition of a workplace in the context of modern work arrangements.

All these amendments among others, have been consolidated into the proposed law, the Business Laws (Amendment) Bill 2024 and are discussed by Christine Mugenyu, Senior Associate and Melisa Wekesa, Associate in the Employment Law practice, in this episode of CDH Conversations.
