Experience
Zakiya has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate actions including restructuring, REITs, commercial real estate and general commercial transactions. She guides clients on company law and regulations including stock exchange listings requirements, and assists with due diligence investigations, structuring of transactions, and drafting and negotiating multi-step implementation agreements.
Advised Capital & Regional PLC (UK REIT) as to South African law in respect of its capital raise in the United Kingdom and South Africa.
Assisted Investec Property Fund Limited (REIT) in relation to the internalisation of its asset management function in respect of both its South African and European portfolios.
