Amore Carstens is a Senior Associate in our Corporate & Commercial practice. Amore assists clients with, inter alia, contract law advice, general corporate and commercial advice, corporate governance, including advice on commercial issues, company law and regulatory considerations, negotiating terms of agreement, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements. Amore works closely with local and international oil companies, national oil companies (NOC’s), oilfield service providers and government regulatory authorities within the upstream petroleum sector.

Advised Namibia-based national oil on its assignment and transfer of participating interest in respect of the Kudu Gas Field area in Namibia, to BW Kudu.
Legal Advisor to Kinetiko on its Amersfoort Gas Project. Scope of work including due diligence investigation and report and negotiating SPA terms and Operating Agreement for the development of gas in the Amersfoort region.
Advised on the sales of participating interest in Block 3B4B, scope of work included drafting of the farm-out agreement, obtaining Ministerial consents and approvals and amendments to Joint Operating Agreement.
Legal advisor to a TSX listed IOC on a dual sale to AIM listed and TSX listed IOCs which paved the way for drilling of the Gazania-1 well.
Advised TSX listed IOC on its acquisition of further interest in the Orinduik Block offshore Guyana.
