CDH is pleased to announce five Director promotions
The appointments span various practice areas and includes Fatima Ameer-Mia in our Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice in Cape Town, Kendall Keanly in our Corporate & Commercial practice also in Cape Town; with Kgosi Nkaiseng, Mongezi Mpahlwa and Tim Smit from our Dispute Resolution practice in Johannesburg.

The newly appointed Directors offer different specialties and strengths within their areas of expertise:
Fatima Ameer-Mia specialises in commercial, information technology, intellectual property and data protection law in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice. She also has a special interest in the fields of e-commerce and matters relating to cybercrime and information security.
Kendall Keanly’s expertise in the Corporate & Commercial practice includes mergers & acquisitions, broad-based black economic empowerment transactions, listings, due diligences, advising clients both locally and internationally on various aspects of corporate and commercial law and attending to general corporate and commercial law matters, including consumer law and data protection
Kgosi Nkaiseng in the Dispute Resolution practice, focuses mainly on insolvency, corporate recovery and business rescue. His areas of specialisation include dispute resolution, insolvency, business rescue and general commercial litigation. He regularly acts for major financial institutions, liquidators, business rescue practitioners and various corporate entities.
Mongezi Mpahlwa in the Dispute Resolution practice, was voted one of Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans in 2018 and practices in the area of civil, corporate and commercial litigation in both lower and higher courts as well as commercial arbitration. He specialises in the insolvency and business rescue practice area, with extensive experience in liquidations and business rescue proceedings in sectors such as mining, agriculture, private healthcare and hospitality, amongst others.
Timothy (Tim) Smit in the Dispute Resolution practice, is well acquainted with the intricacies of litigation, mediation, arbitration and forensic investigation. He has extensive experience in conducting trial matters and providing legal advice and opinions to private corporations, JSE listed companies, banking institutions and private individuals with regards to exposure.
