CDH promotes eight new Directors

The firm’s Real Estate practice welcomes Bronwyn Brown as a new Director. She began her career as a Candidate Attorney at CDH in 2009, was appointed as an Associate in January 2011 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2013. Bronwyn has been involved in various high-level property matters, including commercial and residential property transfers and bonds, notarial contracts, sectional title developments, renewable energy projects and property related due diligence investigations.
Kirsten Caddy, a BCom and LLB Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pretoria, started her career in the High Court litigation arena, where she gained experience in a variety of general litigation matters. She has worked extensively with a wide range of clients both locally and internationally and has also obtained a post-graduate diploma in advanced labour law with distinction at the University of South Africa. She has been promoted to Director in CDH’s Employment law practice.
New Director Neil Comte was appointed as an Associate in the firm’s Knowledge Management practice in August 2013 and became a Senior Associate in January 2015. The focus of his position is on firm-wide projects driving quality, learning and development in the firm and professional support. He also coordinates the firm’s in-house Practical Legal Training course for Candidate Attorneys and in-house Practice Management Training course.
The firm’s award-winning Corporate and Commercial practice, meanwhile, welcomes Justine Krige as a new Director. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, due diligences, the formation, structuring and restructuring of business entities and general corporate and commercial law, including consumer law, with a focus on the hospitality and leisure and tourism sectors.
Belinda Scriba has been promoted to a Director in Dispute Resolution, with her experience as a corporate and commercial litigant, both in the High Court and in arbitrations, in high demand. She has extensive expertise in the areas of contractual dispute, maritime, insolvency (international and local) and forensic law.
Kerry Spies also adds to the specialist ranks of CDH’s Dispute Resolution Practice. Her range of experience includes commercial dispute resolution, education regulatory advice and insolvency and debtor-creditor transactions.
Tax and Exchange Control welcomes Mareli Treurnicht as a new Director. She has experience in applying for advanced tax rulings, drafting opinions and advising on general tax matters, and in particular corporate restructures, trusts, international tax, exchange control, and share incentive schemes. Mareli also has experience in general and tax litigation and has advised on commercial transactions.
Ndumiso Zwane is another new Director in CDH’s Employment Practice. He has broad experience in employment law and has acted extensively for various employers, both public and private companies. Ndumiso also has experience in the areas of in the areas of civil litigation, local government and mine health and safety law.
