WEBINAR | Buyer power and price discrimination under The Competition Act, related income tax incentives and BEE considerations
The webinar covered the new buyer power and price discrimination provision of the Competition Act as well as the observation of the harmful effects that COVID-19 has had on vulnerable firms – particularly those which the new Competition Act amendments seek to protect. The webinar also dealt with how enterprise and supplier development programmes under the BEE Codes dovetail with the buyer power and price discrimination provisions of the Competition Act. Various tax incentives that may assist dominant firms with compliance with the Competition Act amendments were also discussed as well as an overview of the special taxation regimes of qualifying vulnerable firms.
