CDH's Corporate & Commercial and Competition Law practices advised Lallemand Inc and Rymco Proprietary Limited in relation to the acquisition of the Bovril and Marmite business unit and Savoury Foods Ingredients business unit from Pioneer Foods Groceries (Pty) Ltd (part of PepsiCo South Africa Proprietary Limited). This transaction is subject to approval from the Competition Commission of South Africa.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Home Affairs (Department) has experienced a severe backlog in the processing of visa, appeal and waiver applications. While the Department has been working to clear the backlog, it still continues in relation to various visa and permit categories.
