Product Liability Services
The Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008 (Act) came into effect on 1 April 2011. The Act has had a major influence on product liability matters. The main aim of this Act is to protect the consumer. We have specialists who have dealt with a large number of product liability claims on behalf of the firm’s major manufacturing clients over many years and have extensive experience in this field.
Our Product Liability lawyers have experience in dealing with a wide range of claims, including claims from individual consumers, which can generally be successfully negotiated or appropriately discouraged, to substantial claims against manufacturers. These are claims that involve the risk of adverse publicity that can result in negative reputational risk for companies.
