Employment Equity reporting deadline – 15 January 2025
While President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the proclamation notice in November 2024, setting 1 January 2025 as the start date for the implementation of the Employment Equity Amendment Act, No. 4 of 2022, employers must still comply with the employment equity legislation predating the amendments for the 2024 reporting period, i.e. for the current reporting period, compliance is required with the employment equity legislation regime prior to the amendments taking effect.
Please note that the reporting season for both manual and online submissions opened on 1 September 2024, with manual reporting having closed on 1 October 2024.
